Old Faithful

Then we heard a gurgling sound underneath, and the steady rising of scalding water from the vent. Within seconds water inexorably shot a hundred feet vertically up. Our gaze followed as we fought the bitter cold. Two minutes whizzed by, as we were lost in the moment. There was a clap and then another until everybody cheered in unison. The wonder and excitement we felt was palpable. You could almost touch it from everyone on that platform.
Where The Buck Stops
Yellowstone, Wyoming
Spotting wildlife is the main attraction in Yellowstone. This is the same place where Dances With Wolves was shot and that awesome bison stampede take. There are bears both grizzly and black bears, coyotes, wolves and moose. But my favorite is the bull elk, commonly called the buck. As we were driving towards Roosevelt Country, we saw buck. It was sitting in the bush. I made a right turn towards where it’s at, ever so careful not to scare it away. It just looked in our direction then looked away, apparently unmindful of our intrusion.
